As the heart of spring approached, March was a month of meaningful progress for Fightstrong Foundation. We continued our mission of bringing comfort and joy to those battling cancer, with direct donations to two incredible families, the beginning of five new connections for April support, and continued behind-the-scenes work as we prepare to unveil our biggest announcement of the year on May 1st.

February continued our momentum with support for three families in active treatment. Each connection allowed us to tailor donations to their specific needs. Behind the scenes, we made progress on exciting upcoming projects and began laying the groundwork for events that will make an even greater impact in the months ahead.

We kicked off the new year by supporting four individuals facing various forms of cancer, creating moments of joy through both essential support and special experiences. We also began planning our 4th Annual Fightstrong Golf Outing, and Joseph had the chance to speak with the Metuchen boys’ basketball team—sharing the mission and power behind the Fightstrong Foundation.

To close out the year, we supported nine families through our 3rd Annual Christmas Donation, fulfilling patient wish lists at both Rutgers Cancer Institute of NJ and the Children’s Specialized Unit of RWJ. These meaningful gifts brought joy and relief to families during the holiday season and reminded us how much we can accomplish when we come together for a greater cause.

We focused our efforts on supporting three incredible women battling breast cancer, offering items and assistance to help during their treatment. Our founder, Joseph Nigro, also visited Princeton University to share his cancer journey with future oncology professionals—spreading awareness, empathy, and education. We also began preparing for our annual Christmas donation.

October was filled with impact as we supported four families facing cancer, providing personalized gifts and resources to ease their journeys. We also attended a special roundtable event hosted by JFK Cancer Center, where we connected with doctors and leadership to discuss their latest advancements and explore opportunities for future collaboration.

In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we had the privilege of meeting four inspiring families currently navigating their battles with cancer. We offered support through donations tailored to each family’s needs and continued to build meaningful relationships with both patients and caregivers. These moments reminded us why we fight—to bring hope and joy to those who need it most.
