Beyond Survival

Starting in 2025, Fightstrong will proudly recognize individuals who embody courage, heart, and an unshakable fighting spirit throughout their cancer journey — whether they are in partial remission or are survivors. These recipients, supported by Fightstrong along the way, represent what it truly means to fight strong. Their resilience, hope, and grace in the face of adversity are a powerful reflection of their inner strength.

At our annual summer event, we honor them with the A Strong Fighter Award — a symbol of perseverance, community, and the light they continue to shine. This recognition isn’t just about reaching a milestone. It’s about how they carried themselves through the toughest moments, the spirit they brought to each step of their journey, and the hope they now offer others. Their stories remind us that strength isn’t defined by a finish line — it’s shown in how you fight.

Who We Honor

Each year, Fightstrong proudly honors up to 10 individuals supported by the Foundation who have entered partial remission or are considered survivors. Whether they’re a child, teen, or adult, these fighters represent strength, perseverance, and the hope they continue to inspire as they reach this powerful milestone in their journey.

How Recognition Works

Our team thoughtfully considers every individual we’ve had the privilege of supporting who has completed their cancer journey. While we would love to recognize every fighter, beginning in 2025, our goal is to honor up to 10 individuals each year — with one honoree invited to share a short speech during the celebration.

What the Award Means

Each recipient will be honored through a video tribute captured by The Victory Foundation in partnership with the Fightstrong Foundation. All honorees will also receive a personalized award in recognition of their strength and journey.

Walking Together

To make the evening more personal, each honoree will be paired with a representative from one of our top partners. This one-on-one connection gives partners a chance to see the impact of their support firsthand, while allowing families to share their journey with someone who helped make it possible. It's a moment of connection that brings our mission full circle.

The Sound of Survival

The cancer journey doesn’t end when treatment ends — but completing treatment is a major victory that deserves to be celebrated. This award reminds our recipients, their families, and our entire community that even through the darkest times, strength wins. It’s also a reminder to every family still in the fight: you're not alone, and your moment will come too.
