Walk for Dana
We’re honored to stand beside Dana as she continues her courageous journey and are proud to walk alongside her on May 10th at the NJ Brain Tumor Walk in Long Branch. Dana’s strength and gratitude in the face of adversity inspire us all, and this day is a powerful reminder of the importance of community, hope, and resilience. The morning begins with check-in and t-shirt pick-up at 7:30 AM, followed by a Remembrance Ceremony on the beach at 8:30 AM, the Opening Ceremony at Bradley Park at 9:00 AM, and the official Walk Start at 9:30 AM. We walk for Dana, for those we’ve lost, and for everyone still fighting.

Eduction Night for LITE Program
Each year, the Rutgers Cancer Institute of NJ hosts a special evening for their LITE survivorship program, filled with raffles, dinner, and honest, empowering conversations about life after cancer. We were honored to be invited back to join the panel for the second year in a row, sharing our perspective with patients and families. This year, we also hope to deepen our role by making a meaningful donation to support the event.

3rd Annual Christmas Donation
Our 2024 Christmas donation expanded our reach, helping multiple pediatric patients and families at RUCINJ through personalized gifts and holiday support. From toys and warm clothing to practical items and tech, each donation was carefully chosen to meet a real need. With the support of the hospital team, we were proud to deliver joy, hope, and a sense of normalcy to families spending the holidays in treatment.

Donation to JFK Cancer Center
We were honored to meet with the team at JFK Edison shortly after the opening of their specialized cancer treatment center. During our visit, we donated several LG Stand By Me monitors for patients to use during their infusion treatments—providing comfort, entertainment, and a sense of home. We’re excited to continue this partnership into 2025 with a commitment to do even more for their patients.

Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month Donation
This September, in honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, we were proud to support and celebrate the courageous children at Rutgers Cancer Institute of NJ and the pediatric unit at Children’s Specialized Hospital of RWJ. With the help of one of our patients, Shrey, and his incredible mother, we joined a week-long initiative by donating 450 custom shirts for patients and staff, along with hosting pizza parties for both units. We had the chance to meet with families, connect with nurses, and share the Fightstrong mission—leading to new relationships and support for several families moving forward. It was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do, and we’re excited to make this a yearly tradition.

Fightstrong's 3rd Annual Golf Outing
Our third annual outing took everything to the next level. Held once again at Forsgate, we saw record-breaking engagement from sponsors, community members, and players. What made this year truly memorable were the new traditions we started—like our foam finger fundraiser—and the powerful presence of past patient families. We introduced our first-ever Dave Wolff Award and presented it to Jack Lupo, a true embodiment of strength and resilience.

Dinner with the Docs
We were honored to be invited to a special roundtable-style dinner hosted by the JFK Cancer Center, where we had the opportunity to connect with many of their doctors, department leads, and senior staff. Throughout the evening, each group of medical professionals rotated between tables, giving us the chance to share our mission and learn about the groundbreaking advancements happening at JFK. It was a meaningful night of conversation, connection, and collaboration—one that opened new doors for future partnerships and deepened our commitment to supporting this incredible care team.

FDU x FSF Alumni Networking Event
In partnership with FDU’s Silberman College of Business and FDU Athletics, this networking night combined fun, purpose, and community. Held in the Top Golf simulator suite at 1776 by David Burke, the event brought together alumni, students, and supporters to raise awareness for Fightstrong’s upcoming initiatives. With thanks to our special guest speakers and FDU alum from the Victory Foundation, this night helped build momentum for our golf outing and created meaningful connections all around.

2nd Annual Christmas Donation
In December 2023, we brought the magic of Christmas to four incredible pediatric patients and their families at Rutgers Cancer Institute of NJ. Working closely with the hospital’s social worker, we fulfilled detailed wish lists with everything from clothing and essentials to furniture and electronics. These heartfelt donations provided comfort, relief, and joy to families facing overwhelming challenges during the holiday season—reminding them they are never alone.

Fightstrong's 2nd Annual Golf Outing
Our second golf outing was one for the books! Hosted at the beautiful Forsgate Country Club, we welcomed 144 golfers and over 200 guests for a day full of impact, community, and celebration. From the morning tee-offs to the evening reception, the event was filled with touching stories, heartfelt speeches, and strong support from sponsors and attendees alike. With each swing, we raised funds to help those currently in the fight of their lives, while honoring past recipients like Jack and continuing to grow our outreach.

Fightstrong's 5k Run & Walk
It was a beautiful day filled with energy, gratitude, and unity as 111 participants came together to run or walk in support of cancer fighters and survivors. This event was made possible thanks to the leadership of Professor Farias and a passionate group of FDU students who organized and promoted the event throughout their semester. The love and dedication shown by the entire FDU community helped bring this initiative to life and raised incredible awareness for our mission.

GMC All Star Game
On March 29th, we had the honor of being named the beneficiary of the GMC All-Star Basketball Game thanks to the support of Head Coach Brandon Walsh, player Laz Rodriguez, and the recommendation of Eric Gallotto. The evening was filled with talent, passion, and purpose. We were able to spread the word about our mission, celebrate young athletes, and raise awareness for those battling cancer. It was a night that reminded us how sports and service can powerfully intersect.

Fightstrong's Inaugural Annual Golf Outing
The first Fightstrong Foundation Golf Outing marked the beginning of something truly special. With a turnout of 180 attendees—including 115 golfers and 47 incredible sponsors—we were able to raise $19,000 to support children and families facing cancer. This inaugural event set the tone for our mission-driven community, and we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who made it such a huge success. From the energy on the course to the celebration that followed, this day will always hold a special place in our journey.
