This award goes beyond recognizing someone who has fought cancer; it honors the way they lived through it — with humility, heart, and the ability to uplift others even in the darkest moments.

The Strong Fighter Award honors those who have reached a powerful milestone — completing cancer treatment. While the fight doesn’t end when treatment does, this award is a celebration of strength, perseverance, and hope. The course itself was in amazing condition, and had an array of wholes that challenged all types of golfers.
Beyond the excellent golfing experience, what really set this outing apart was the atmosphere of camaraderie and community. From the friendly check-in process to the festive on-course activities. But the most memorable moment was when Joey and his family sat down and shared their stories and visions for how they want to continue to help others in need. It was heartening to see so many people come together, not just for a fun day out, but also to support a cause that truly makes a difference.
Overall, the fundraiser was a resounding success, leaving me already looking forward to next year’s event. Whether you’re an avid golfer or simply someone who enjoys a well-organized community gathering, this event is not to be missed.

“This golf outing was one in a million. From the first tee to the final putt, the energy was off the charts with great shots, even better company, and nothing but good vibes all around. Everyone was locked in, laughing, cheering, and just living in the moment. After the round, we kicked back with drinks, music, and nonstop fun.

What made it truly special was the purpose behind it. We weren’t just out there for competition, we were rallying together to raise money and awareness to help fight cancer. Playing for something bigger than ourselves gave the whole day deeper meaning. It was unforgettable.
“I have played in the Fightstrong Foundation outing 2 years now. By far one of the best outings I have been a part of! From organization to the amazing energy from participants, volunteers and community around the fight strong foundation is absolutely wonderful to participate in. Joey is a dear friend who both my husband and I cherish our relationship very much. Joey creates this atmosphere that anyone can be a part of and he does it for EVERYONE around him, one of the most selfless people I know. He has so many people in his corner and you can see it all come together at this outing. If you haven’t been a part of it yet, boy you are missing out! I cannot wait for this year and to continue to see Joey’s hard work pay off once again!
