From One Gift to Many
What began as a single donation to brighten the pediatric unit at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey has evolved into something far greater—a Christmas celebration that brings true holiday joy to the families who need it most. Today, the Fightstrong Foundation partners directly with social workers from the Robert Wood Johnson hospital units to hand-select families facing the toughest battles, ensuring that every gift, every meal, and every moment of the day reaches those who deserve it most. What started as a simple act of giving has become a powerful reminder of what Christmas is really about—hope, love, and community coming together for those who need it most.
A Season That Means Everything
Christmas has always held a special place in the heart of Fightstrong Foundation. It’s a time rooted in family, generosity, and hope—values that mirror why this organization exists. What began as a small holiday initiative has grown into one of the most meaningful and impactful moments of our year. This season marked our largest Christmas donation to date, reinforcing our commitment to ensuring families facing cancer feel supported, celebrated, and never alone. As Fightstrong continues to grow, this tradition will always remain at the core of our mission—showing up, year after year, when it matters most.

Each year, our Christmas celebration continues to grow — and thanks to the support of our partners, we’re able to do even more for the families who need it most.
The Victory Foundation has contributed a personalized Victory Gift Package for every family, filled with clothing, motivational notes, and a gift card. Their thoughtfulness and creativity add a personal touch that reminds each family that they are seen, supported, and never fighting alone.
The Miter Foundation has generously donated $5,000 worth of items, including personally shopping for three families to ensure their holiday wishes come true. Their commitment to making a hands-on difference helps bring our mission to life in such a meaningful way.
Together, these partnerships allow us to spread even more hope, comfort, and Christmas joy to the families we serve.
2025 Holiday Impact
This holiday season, 11 dedicated volunteer shoppers helped us expand our reach and deepen our impact. By personally shopping for families and individuals facing cancer, they played a direct role in allowing Fightstrong Foundation to support more families than ever before.
This approach goes beyond gifts — it creates connection, presence, and moments of joy during one of the hardest seasons a family can face.
As we look ahead to next year, we plan to continue growing this initiative.
